My 5-minute Makeup Routine

In a rush? Only got a few minutes to get ready? I got you covered! Can we agree that we’ve all been there at least once? On the blog today, I’ll be sharing my 5-minute makeup routine and some of my favourite products I like to use when I’m in a rush. To be honest, in the past, I always thought these type of posts were total BS. 5 minutes to apply your makeup? Oh please! But it can definitely be done. So, let’s get into it!

We all know that a flawless complexion is the ultimate beauty goal, so foundation is a must, unless you already have perfect skin, then I’m so jealous of you! I love using the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation. It feels extremely lightweight on the skin while providing incredible coverage. The quick and easiest way for me to apply this foundation is to use a damp beauty blender or my fingers.

A full coverage concelear is a must-have for those panda eyes, I love using the L.A Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Natural Ivory. This shade is more pink-toned, so it works wonders for covering those pesky under-eye circles. I apply this in a triangular shape, blending it in using my ring finger.

If you have sparse, uneven brows, you know that filling them in can take up a lot of time, so when I’m in a rush, I like to use a tinted brow gel. I adore the Essence Brow Gel. It only takes a few seconds to apply and you’re good to go!

Even if I only have 5 minutes to get ready, I still want to look like I have a sun-kissed glow. So, I apply the bronzer in the Essence Shading Powder to the perimeters of my face, using a big fluffy brush.

If you’re short on time, you’d want to go for a more simple eye makeup look, I mentioned before that I love using contouring & highlighting palettes on my eyes. They work as a great multi-tasking products. I apply the contour shade in my crease to add depth and dimension to the eyes and then, I apply the highlighter to my lid and inner corners to add light to the eyes.

Long, thick beautiful lashes will always take your makeup look to the next level, but falsies are out of the question, especially if you’ve only got 5 minutes to apply your makeup, which is why you’ll need a good volumizing mascara and it only takes a couple of seconds to apply.

Last, but not least! A lip colour. We all know that a little something on the lips makes you look more put together, am I right? I apply the Labello Lip Balm in Watermelon to my lips, leaving them feeling so soft and moisturized.

And there you have it! My 5-minute make up routine. I hope you guys enjoyed this post. What products do you like to use to save time in the morning? I’d love to know. Share them down in the comments section below.
