Palladio Crushed Metallic Shadows – Review

Hey beauties! I’m back with an overdue review on the new Palladio Crushed Metallic Shadows. Ah, when I first saw these in Dis-chem a few weeks back, I was so excited to try them. Or am I just excited about everything makeup related? I think so. These eyeshadows remind me so much of the Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadows, they may even be a dupe, who knows! (I’ll soon find out when urban decay cosmetics comes to south africa in mid-may) Anyways, if you know me by now, I’m in love with any eyeshadow with a metallic finish, which is why I bought these, of course.

I picked up two of these eyeshadows to test in the shades “Stellar” which is a beautiful metallic mocha shade and “Eclipse” which is a gorgeous warm gold shade. There are 12 shades available in this collection. These eyeshadows claim to be finely-crushed, ultra-concentrated pigments which provide an intense pay-off and high-impact color that lasts up to 24 hours and have a unique eye shadow formula that starts off as a powder and transforms into a creamy texture with a super intense, foil metallic finish.

These eyeshadows all come in a round acrylic compact with a transparent lid containing 1.18g of product. Upon application these eyeshadows glide on super pigmented and have a velvety smooth cream-based formula, transforming into more of a powdery finish once applied to the lid, they have a very intense, and gorgeous metallic finish. I found these really easy to apply, without experiencing a ton of fallout. I usually prefer using a flat shader eyeshadow brush to pack on eyeshadow, but I find these work best when applied with your fingertips, giving you more of an intense color-pay off. Both of these eyeshadows stayed really well throughout the day. They lasted around 6-7 hours on my lids without a primer. The 24 hour claim? Hmm, I’m not too sure about that.

My final thoughts? These metallic eyeshadows are absolutely stunning and are very affordable for the price. If you’re in the market for a metallic eyeshadow that doesn’t break the bank, I’d definitely recommend these.

The Palladio Crushed Metallic Shadows retail for R99.95 at Dis-Chem Pharmacies Nationwide
